88rising was born with an important mission: to promote, support and celebrate Asian creators around the world.
Founder Sean Miyashiro has always had a passion for music and bringing people together. He personally felt the impact of Asian representation in Hollywood and saw the need for that same representation across all areas of American culture. 88rising is an entertainment company that gives a platform to Asian creators and artists around the world, especially in the music industry.
88rising Radio, a collaboration between 88rising and SiriusXM, was launched last year as the first all-Asian, multi-genre music radio channel available across the United States. To celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, 88rising Radio is sharing the AAPI community’s significant contributions to music, comedy and other industries to elevate the conversation around the Asian American experience and culture.
Much like East West Bank, 88rising has created a bridge between the American and Asian cultures and inspired a new way of thinking that breaks down barriers and brings people closer together through love, shared experiences and respect.
